Capital controls announcement - LIVE

Iceland’s plan for lifting capital controls is to be presented today at noon Iceland time (London: 1pm, Washington DC: 8am).

The Prime Minister, Sigmundur Davíð Guðmundsson, and the Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs, Bjarni Benediktsson, have called a joint press conference today, Monday 8 June at Harpa Concert and Conference Centre.

The pair will be presenting the government’s plan for lifting capital controls. The conference will be held in Icelandic, with interpreting into English.
